Liverpool’s Waterfront and the Three Graces

Liverpool’s story is written along the Mersey. At Pier Head stand the Three Graces — the Royal Liver Building with its mythic Liver Birds, the domed Port of Liverpool Building and the elegant Cunard Building — a skyline that once welcomed ocean liners from around the world.

For decades this waterfront was the departure point for millions of emigrants and the beating heart of a great trading port. The red-and-black Mersey ferries still cross in front of it, just as they do in this little scene.

It’s the view that says “Liverpool” before any words do.

A Hand-Painted Liverpool Souvenir in a Sculpted Frame

Rather than a flat magnet, this souvenir is modelled as a miniature framed picture. The chunky gold-toned frame is moulded in resin with carved, slightly weathered edges, surrounding a hand-painted panel of the waterfront under a bright blue sky.

Inside the frame, the white dome and towers of the Three Graces rise above the red hulls of the Mersey ferries, with “LIVERPOOL” lettered across the top.
